NJ's Mess

Cnris Christie has made a complete mess of his campaign for Governor of  New Jersey.  The only good news if Corzine is re-elected is that the state will only have to suffer 4 more years of his incompetency rather than a potential 8 years under Christie's considerable girth.

In viewing things in the most simplistic manner, how can a man be expected to put New Jersey's appetite for taxpayer dollars on a diet when he can't manage his own out of control appetite.  He is either a heart attack or a stroke waiting to happen.

We have seen examples of his anger, vindictiveness, boorishness and plain rudeness over and over.  He has been caught in repeated lies and his professional behavior has, at best been questionable.  He let a human trafficer take a walk over convicting a mayor and wife for political corruption.  The bottom line is he prosecuted low hanging fruit.  There is no evidence that he ever took on a controversial case and made the real perpetrators pay.

Yes, violating the public trust is vile in many ways and needs to be prosecuted, but when convicting a political scalp over putting a human trafficer in jail becomes the priority, the very essence of his total value system has to be called into question.

Given the mess that Corzine has us in and the potential disaster that will be Chris Christie, perhaps Mr. Daggett is the best alternative.  Not because he has any better ideas, but because it might, once and for all, wake up the two political parties to the reality that the residents, voters and taxpayers of New Jersey have finally had enough of both of them
